Heute will ich euch einen ganz neuen und unglaublich talentierten Designer vorstellen. Er kommt aus Italien lebt aber in Istanbul. NICOLA INDELICATOs Unisex-Kollektion spielt mit Gender und der türkischen Schneiderkunst.
ENG: Today I want to introduce a new and incredibly talented Designer. He's from Italy but lives in Turkey now. NICOLA INDELICATO's unisex-collection plays with gender and the traditional Turkish tailoring.
“I once met a traditional mens’ tailor in Istanbul. I’d talk to him every Saturday over a course of a month and tried to comprehend his distinctive understanding of garments. This then developed into the central structure of my collection.” Nicola Indelicato
Die Schnitte aus seiner Kollektion sind alten türkischen Kleidungsstücken nachempfunden. Die Shorts zum Beispiel sind Abwandlungen von klassischen, türkischen Männerhosen. Außerdem wurde viel mit Struktur und Material gearbeitet. Wir sehen viel Leder, Plissee und Pelz, die Farben sind bis auf ein paar Looks in Grün und Beige auf Schwarz, Weiß und Grau reduziert. Insgesamt ist "Paradoks" (türkisch für paradox) eine sehr sehr gut gelungene Debutkollektion. Hoffen wir dass noch viele weitere folgen.

The patterns of his collection are inspired by traditional Turkish clothing. The shorts for example are modifications of classic Turkish mens trousers. Additionally he used many structures and played with garments. We can spot many leathers, pleats and furs, the color-palette remains (except of the green and beige looks) black, grey and white. All in all "Paradoks" , which is Turkish for paradox, is a pretty good debut-collection and hopefully not the last one.
