Jogginghosen mussten schon viel über sich ergehen lassen. Erfunden um die Beine des Käufers auf eine bequeme Art und Weise und mit genügend Bewegungsfreiheit einzukleiden wurden sie zum Statussymbol der Assos und Couchpotatos um dann von Karl Lagerfeld höchstpersönlich als "Zeichen die Kontrolle über sein Leben verloren zu haben" betitelt zu werden. Doch damit ist jetzt Schluss! Die Jogging ist zurück und stark wie nie! Wie ihr sie richtig kombiniert und was meine Faves sind erfahrt ihr heute.
ENG: Sweatpants had to endure pretty much in the past. Invented as a comfortable way to dress your legs with enough freedom of movement they became a status symbol for associals and couchpotatos and were titled "a sign for loosing control of your life" by Kar Lagerfeld himself. But: There's an end of it! The sweatpants is back and stronger then ever. How to combine them right and what my faves are you will know after reading this post.
Eigentlich bin ich ja ein Fan des "Gender Free Clothing" doch ich muss sagen dass ich finde dass Jogginghosen doch sehr maskulin wirken und es schwierig ist sie feminin zu stylen. Also liebe Jungs und Mädchen, Frauen und Männer: Falls ihr eure feminine Seite raushängen lassen wollt seid ihr hier fehl am Platze! Denn heute wird's männlich.
ENG: Actually I'm a fan of "gender free clothing" but I have to admit that sweats are really masculin and that it's difficult to style them in a feminin way. So for a the boys and girls, women and men, who want to parade their feminin side, this post is not the right one for you. Today it's getting masculin!
Klassische Jogginghosen, mit Bündchen an den Knöcheln und mit leichtem Baggy-Schnitt findet man grad' überall (ASOS, ZARA, H&M etc.). Vom Zeichen der Hip-Hop-Kultur avancierte die Sweatpants zum Must-Have für "Mitte-Hipster" und sonstige Stylevictims. Doch ihre Streetcredibility hat sie in meinen Augen nicht verloren. Im Gegenteil sie wurde aufgewertet: Durch neue Kombinationen zu Hemden, hochwertigen Lederpieces und Boots sowie Modelle aus den Reihen der High Fashion verlor die Jogging ihr Assi-Image das ihr bis dato doch noch bemerklich anhaftete. Kombiniert also Jogging zu feinen Elementen der Herrenmode oder derben Lederteilen um einen gekonnten Bruch zu schaffen. (Falls ihr Inspirationen braucht schaut euch doch diesen oder diesen Look an)
ENG: You'll find classic sweatpants with cuffs at the ankle everywhere (ASOS, ZARA, H&M) now. As a signal for Hip Hop culture they advanced to a must have for (Berlin-)"Mitte Hipster" and other stylevictims. But they did not loose their streetcredibility. To the contary: They were gentrified due to new combinations with shirts, quality leather goods or boots such as variations from the high fashion rows. Combine your sweats with elegant menswear pieces or rough leather elements to break the look (need inspiration? click or click)
Doch nicht nur durch Kombination wird die Jogginghose in ein neues Licht gerückt. Auch die Materialien variieren) mittlerweile. Während wir vor einem Jahr fast nur die klassischen Hell Grau Modelle (unbedingt vermeiden!!!) gesehen haben, können wir jetzt welche aus Neopren wie bei ADYN oder wie bei NEIL BARRETT aus Leder kaufen. Durch neue Materialien entsteht ebenfalls ein toller Bruch und man erkennt dass ihr eben nicht grad' mega high von eurem Sofa aufgestanden seid um neue Chips zu holen sondern euch einfach nur an der aktuellen Mode orientiert. Also habt Mut zu neuen Materialien, auch wenn sie euch ungewöhnlich erscheinen.
ENG: But not only new ways of combining sweats put them in perspective, also new materials were tested out. While we mostly had the light grey ones (DON'T!!!) one year ago we now have pieces made from neoprene (ADYN) or leather (NEIL BARRETT). Due to these new fabrics people will recognize that you not just woke up at your couch, totally high, and went off for getting more chips but instead follow the latest fashion.
Für die poppigeren unter euch: Prints auf Jogging? Na klar! Everything goes heißt da das Credo und von dem Kettenmotiv bei VERSUS bis zu Kuhflecken bei MOSCHINO ist alles dabei. Aufgefallen ist mir hier allerdings dass man die wirklich schönen Prints eher im High Fashion Bereich findet. Außerdem ist hier die richtige Kombi extrem wichtig und gar nicht so leicht zu finden, denke ich. Also sind diese Modelle was für die "Fortgeschrittenden".
ENG: the loud and trendy ones: Prints on Jogging? Sure! Everything goes is the credo and we see the famous chain motiv on the VERSUS sweats and a cowskin motiv on the MOSCHINO ones. I have to admit that you find the more beautieful prints in the high fashion sector. Additionally the right combi is more then important and not so easy to find. So this is like "advanced mode"
Eine Sache muss ich noch loswerden bevor ich euch mit diesen tollen Modellen alleine lasse. Auch wenn Sneaker wahrscheinlich naheliegen (wie uns die Stylisten der Onlineshops ja hier bewiesen haben): Versucht es mal mit Boots. Am besten derbe Ledertreter oder elegante und feine Lederschnürer. Denn die sehen wirklich toll aus zur Jogging und suchen den Look um einiges.
ENG: There is one thing left to say. Even if it seems apparent (shown by the online shop's stylists) to wear sweatpants with sneakers: Try boots! Rough leather boots or elegant lace ups perfectly fit with sweats and pimp up the look.
